The theme of this years event will bring back Sarasota's history as the Circus City, USA.
top10 Tip: The Sarasota Chalk Festival hosted the most important contemporary street painting venue in the world last year with 250 artists from all over the world participating. The event drew about 200,000 visitors.

DATES:
11/2/12-11/4/12 – The festival main festivities will take place starting on Friday morning November 2nd and completing the evening of November 4th, 2012.
11/5/12-11/6/12 – There will be two viewing days to see completed artwork November 5th and November 6th.
10/28/12-11/2/12 – The large 3D street paintings will start on October 28th and with weather permitting will be completed by November 2nd so please come early if you want to see these works of art being created.
10/28/12-11/15/12 – The ‘Going Vertical' artists will be working on walls throughout the city for a three week period and maps will be available showing the locations to view the artwork.
TIMES:
The festival is both day and night with the main festivities during November 2 – 4 starting at 8am – 10 pm. The least crowded times are before 10 am and after 5pm. Night viewing is permitted.
